Arena Mode: turn your Adventure into a live game
Arena Mode turns an AdventuriQ Adventure into a synchronized in-person experience: one large screen for the room and one mobile device for each Player.
You project the game, Players join through a QR code or GamePIN, you open the first Challenge, and the countdown begins. Answers arrive live, the leaderboard changes in front of everyone, and the session ends with a podium.

What is Arena Mode?
It is a new AdventuriQ game mode designed for group activities in which everyone progresses at the same pace. Instead of each Player moving through the Adventure independently, the person running the session controls the moment: when a Challenge starts, when answers close, when the solution appears and when the game moves on.
The AdventuriQ structure remains the same: Adventure → Mission → Challenge. Select a Mission prepared with compatible Challenges and Arena Mode turns it into a shared experience for a room, event or training session.
You can feel the difference in the room: people are no longer watching a presentation. They wait for the countdown, choose an answer on their mobile and watch the leaderboard change on the large screen.
How a game works, step by step
1. Prepare a Mission with compatible Challenges
The Game Master or Game Designer configures the Adventure, enables Live Mode (Arena) and selects the Missions to play.
Arena Mode supports exactly these Challenge types:
- Question / Answer, including text, image, audio and video variants.
- Exact Answer, requiring a matching text response.
- Word Cloud, which visually aggregates the group’s answers.
All other Challenge types and incomplete Challenges are skipped automatically during the live game.
2. Open the Arena Mode lobby
The shared screen displays how to enter the game. Each Player opens the Webapp through a URL in any browser, signs in with their Player account and joins using the room’s QR code or GamePIN.
3. Players appear in the lobby
When a Player joins with their account, the lobby displays the name or nickname and avatar already assigned to them in AdventuriQ. They cannot change them from the lobby. You can see at a glance who is ready before starting the activity.
4. You control the pace
When you open a Challenge, its content appears on the large screen and each Player receives the relevant response interface on their mobile. The countdown adds tension; the control panel lets you close answers and continue when the group is ready.

5. Each Player answers on their mobile
The individual experience is straightforward: view the Challenge, respond in the required format and wait for the next moment in the game. There is no app switching and no technical setup for participants.

6. The leaderboard culminates in a podium
The leaderboard gives everyone immediate feedback on how the game is progressing. If the Adventure contains several Missions, the game runs in blocks with an intermediate leaderboard. After the final Challenge in the game, the shared screen presents the final podium.

What Arena Mode brings to an in-person activity
- Shared attention: the whole room sees the same Challenge and waits for the same result.
- Individual participation: each Player answers on their own mobile.
- Controlled pace: you decide when each moment opens, closes and moves forward.
- Visible feedback: the countdown, answers, leaderboard and podium become part of the experience.
- Access from any browser: each Player opens the Webapp through a URL, signs in with their account and joins through a QR code or GamePIN. The webapp can also be installed on the desktop.
- Reusable content: prepare different Missions within an Adventure and adapt the activity to each session.
Where can you use Arena Mode?
Events and presentations
Turn an audience into participants. Arena Mode can open a session, reactivate the room between blocks or close an event with a dynamic that everyone understands in seconds.
Team building
Add Challenges about knowledge, observation or company culture to a team activity. The shared screen keeps the energy up and creates conversation between questions.
Training and onboarding
Check understanding without turning the session into a cold exam. Challenges help review concepts, uncover doubts and maintain the group’s attention.
Tourism and guided experiences
A visit, route or location-based Adventure can end with a live Mission: questions about what people discovered, followed by the final leaderboard and podium.
Marketing and brand activations
At a trade fair, stand or product presentation, people can join via QR and answer on their mobile while the brand runs the experience on screen.
